Does anyone know how the item got from China to The States? Many countries are seeking repatriation of stolen art objects and antiques . . . just how did this item make the trip from China to New York?

The San Antonio Museum of Art is free on Tuesday evenings and features these kind of valuable artifacts. It's worth a trip if you haven't been. Great Greek and Egyptian displays too. Seems like an estate seller didn't know what they were dealing with, my guess.
