3 boys, mom killed in fiery crash

George West, TX -- A grieving grandmother was surrounded by several relatives with flowers to set up a memorial at the site of a horrible crash that killed several family members Sunday morning around seven about 12 miles northeast of San Antonio.

Darla Barrera lost her oldest daughter and her only grandchildren.

According to the Department of Public Safety, driver fatique may be to blame for a 22-year-old mother losing control of her SUV in a fiery crash that killed her and three children.

Investigators say Joannie Lopez died in the crash and she was the only one wearing a seat belt.

Her three boys died in the burned vehicle, including 1-year-old Christopher, 2-year-old Alanzo and 3-year-old Andrew, Jr.

Lopez's husband, Andrew, was the only survivor and he was taken to a hospital in Corpus Christi with broken bones.

Funeral services are pending for the mother and her children.

The story line is out of George West, which is between San Antonio and Corpus Christi. I have to assume that there was an error in stating that the accident was 12 miles NE of San Antonio.......but who knows. Facts aren't always a priority in news articles.

I am confused, story says accident happened 12 miles NE of San Antonio, but the Dad was taken to hospital in Corpus Christi?
