SAN ANTONIO -  A BBQ plate sale held over the weekend to help pay for the funerals of five family members killed in a crash last week raised more than $15,000.

Roxanna Demers, 31, and her sons - ages one, four, eight and nine - died from injuries suffered in that crash on June 18.

Roxanna's husband, Larry Demers, 35, is facing intoxication manslaughter charges related to the crash.

Police said he was drunk when he slammed the family's car into a bulldozer in a road construction zone on Medina Base Road near Five Palms.

Relatives of the Demers family are now struggling to pay for the funerals.

They have set up a memorial fund at Security Service Federal Credit Union.

Donations can be made at any branch under the Demers Family Memorial Fund.
