Ceremony programs state the order in which the wedding will proceed. The program can be printed on inexpensive paper or can be produced in the same fashion as the wedding invitations. The ceremony program usually lists the songs, prayers, and scriptures to be read. It may also include the attendants in the wedding and the names of the vocalist and musicians. Ceremony programs are used as guidelines for the wedding and are usually handed out by the ushers. Not all couples wish to have a program, especially if the ceremony is not in a church. It is important to note that having a ceremony program is a matter of personal preference rather than wedding etiquette. For more information on planning a wedding, contact a wedding specialist.
