When it comes to putting a roof over your head, there are more choices now than ever before. You may not think about it, but making the right roofing choice can really add style to your home.

“We’re using Galvalume on the San Antonio Living Concept Home,” explains Thomas Kincaid, the President SouthWest Metal Roofing. “It is the most superior product as far as unpainted metal goes. It’s an aluminum and zinc combo, so it’ll be at least fifty years before maintenance is needed.”
This style has been around for hundreds of years, getting its start in Europe. SouthWest Metal Roofing Systems has been bringing this durable and low maintenance option to South Texas since the 70s.
Kincaid says variety has been the most recent development.
“The biggest changes have been in painted metal,” he says. “Roof improvements are in the coating of metal.”

“We apply an ultra cool coating to all the metal roofs -- which is great for energy efficiency for your home,” Kincaid tells San Antonio Living.

“A stone coated steel tile that will outperform the other products and weighs about a tenth of what the actual tile weigh,” says Kincaid.
