Sculptured nails

Sculptured nails are both attractive and durable, and they are made from synthetic materials sculpted onto your own nails using a combination of acrylic nail powder and liquid. Sanitizing agents and primers are a major part of the sculptured nail procedure and must be done on each nail. The difference between sculptured nails and nail tips is that sculptured nails are fashioned from the synthetic materials alone. A u-shaped form is adhered to the skin around your nail bed and the nail is sculpted with a powder and liquid substance that hardens upon application. With nail tips, a thin plastic tip is first glued to your nail bed and then overlayed with the synthetic material. As the natural nail grows out, the exposed area at the base of your nail bed will need to be filled in by a nail technician about every two weeks. Your sculptured nails can be worn with or without polish and if kept at a reasonable length, will look as natural as your own nails.Sculptured nails are an option if your own nails are weak or if you're trying to break the habit of biting your nails and cuticles. Yet as with other chemical substances, your skin and nails may react to the synthetic elements used to create sculptured nails. Some individuals experience no side effects from the acrylic used in nail powders and liquids, while others may experience skin irritation.
