Leon Valley city leaders are considering a proposed ordinance to outlaw homelessness in the city limits. The ordinance would ban campsites and tents in public parks during certain hours, sleeping in a parked vehicle on a public street or highway, camping in a drainage ditch, and panhandling in public streets. Councilman Will Bradshaw says it's a public safety measure, since there have been campfires in public parks, along with drugs and crime.
