Texas Governor Greg Abbott is banning COVID vaccine mandates in public schools. The CDC is recommending that the shots be added to the back-to-school requirements, and many districts use federal guidance to craft their own policy. But, in a letter to superintendents, the governor says that parents have the ability to opt-out of any vaccine. He says that families should have the final say on healthcare.
