Marcia Gay Harden may be returning to NBC in a full-time capacity.

The 52-year-old actress, who occasionally appears on Law & Order: SVU, has landed the leading role in the network's new comedy pilot Isabel, Entertainment Weekly reports. Harden will play Francis, the matriarch of a middle-class family that has to deal with the challenges of raising a daughter, Isabel (Sophia Mitri Schloss), who has magical qualities.

Marcia Gay Harden to guest-star on Bent

Inspired by the French-Canadian series Le Monde De Charlotte, the series will be executive-produced by Howard Busgang and Tom Nursall.

Harden, who was attached to ABC's comedy pilot Smothered, which failed to get a pick-up last season, will next guest-star on NBC's new comedy Bent.
