SAN ANTONIO - “Mr. Ritmo” and his acclaimed Latin-Jazz orchestra, The Latin Playerz with vocalist Judi Deleon, will celebrate the orchestra’s Twentieth Anniversary and CD release on Saturday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be at San Antonio’s historic Charline McCombs Empire Theatre, 226 North Saint Mary’s Street.

Percussionist Henry Brun has made more than 600 recordings, earning a Grammy award as producer of the song “Y” performed by Little Joe y Familia on the 2007 album, Before The Next Teardrop Falls plus 21 Grammy nominations. In addition to Little Joe, Brun has recorded with such world-famous artists as the Texas Tornados, Rubén Ramos, Los Lobos and David Lee Garza. In 1989, Brun founded The Latin Playerz, an ensemble that incorporates a variety of Latin styles plus rhythm and blues, swing and straight-out jazz.
