8 Tostada/Chalupa shells (store bought and heated on a cookie sheet and in the oven at 325 degrees for 3 to 4 minutes) or shallow fry in vegetable oil in a skillet for about 45 seconds per side then transferred to a baking sheet.
Shredded cheeses such as :
Chihuahua cheese, American cheese, white cheddar, chile con queso, cheddar or personal preference.
Toppings of your choice such as:
Refried beans
Sliced avocados or guacamole
Red onion, slivered or chopped
Pickled jalapenos
Picadillo
Roasted or Grilled Veggies
Shredded Chicken
Shredded Beef
Scrambled eggs
Pulled Pork
Salsas for topping such as:
Roasted tomato and jalapeno
Verde Tomatillo
Ranchera
Fresh Cilantro
Jalapenos
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Top tostada/chalupa shell with any combination of the above ingredients with the exception of the Salsas. Bake at 350 degrees F until the cheese melts, about three minutes. Top with sliced jalapenos and cilantro and salsa.
