SAN ANTONIO - All white was white hot on the spring/summer fashion runways, but putting it together can be tricky. You don’t want to wind up looking like nurse Betty!
Here’s one way to work the all white look.
Our model is wearing a beautiful, sheer blouse with a pair of white, tapered jeans from
Daisy Pearl Boutique.
If you have a top that is flowy like our models, you want to keep your lower half stream-lined so you can see your shape. But, make sure the pants are not too tight. White is a very unforgiving color, so the fit has to be perfect.
Also, check the fabric. If you can see through the pants, you might want to opt for a lined pair, or a thicker fabric like denim. If you can only see the pockets, that’s an easy fix. Take them to the tailor and have the pockets cut out and sewn shut.
What pulls this whole look together, though, are the gold and brown accessories. They really break up the whites. All white is also the perfect canvas for color. Don’t be afraid of trying bright accessories like a colorful statement necklace.
One other thing to remember, our bright whites generally only last one season, so make sure your whites are in fact white before you wear them.
If you liked this look, you can find it at
Daisy Pearl Boutique. It’s right on Main Street in Boerne. If you haven’t stopped by, you should try to check it out. It’s definitely one of my go-to shopping spots. I pop in there when I’m looking for a chic dress that I know won’t be at every department store.
