Check out the model in the photo. Her one key safari piece is the fab linen and cotton blazer from
Banana Republic. Notice this brown jacket tapers at the waist and then flares out a bit at the hips. The cinched waist is great because it really creates that coveted hourglass shape. It also helps create curves if you don’t have them.

Anything safari-esque on the bottom would be a little too Jane of the jungle… again moderation… so the perfect complement to the jacket is a simple pair of white capris. Make sure when you’re buying a capri pant; it tapers at your ankle, the smallest part of your leg. Capris that hit your calves highlight a wider part of your leg, which is less flattering.
To finish off the sophisticated safari ensemble, I put her in some standout brown and gold accessories, and a
great pair of wedges in a complementary brown tone. Wearing wedges is the perfect way to add height without sacrificing comfort.
The best part of this look is that it’s always in style. It’s a classic that you can sport year after year.
