Summer vacations may have ended, but the holidays are right around the corner! Today on San Antonio Living Michelle Newman stopped by to talk to Shelly about the do’s and don’ts of travel accessories.

Michelle Newman is a travel writer for the San Antonio Express News and has been nicknamed the design diva. Newman shared her tips for easy airport traveling on the show and here are a few.

Do’s

Find strong, sturdy straps for your bags.

Use a bag that has plenty of pockets!

Carry bags that are light in weight.

Wear flats and big necklaces.

Carry miniature versions of your toiletries.

Layer your clothes.

Don’ts

Stay away from easy to cut fabrics.

Avoid bulky clothes.

Avoid shoes that make you clumsy.

Don’t bring your sneakers if you don’t need them.

Don’t take your shampoo and conditioner! You can find some at your hotel
