The store is stocked with over 3000 bolts of quality 100% cotton fabrics, over 100 titles of quilting-related books and a full stock of patterns and notions. One of Seventh Heaven’s specialties is kits for making quilts. The shop is also adorned with the quilts made and displayed so that you can see what the quilt is going to look like before you make it.
They sponsor numerous block-a-month projects and have national quilting personalities who teach through the shop.
The current project is a challenge from American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine for quilt shops across America to make a million pillowcases. Seventh Heaven has answered this challenge by encouraging our friends to make 1,000 pillowcases this next year to be donated to three local Ronald McDonald Houses. So they need your help. Kits may be purchased for $10 at Seventh Heaven and turned in where they will be delivered to the local Ronald McDonald Houses.
Other benefits Seventh Heaven sponsors include donations collected through “fine money” through book club participants collected throughout the year. Beneficiaries in the past have included San Antonio Respite Care, Susan G. Koman, Threads of Love, Animal Defense League and currently Ronald McDonald House.
