She was a very talented young woman. I had the pleasure of attending one of her concerts here in San Antonio, at Rosedale Park. I was a little intimidated by some Mexicans there, being the only white guy. This was a time in my life when I was a bit of a skirt chaser, beer/tequila drinking heathen. This of course was before I was saved by the blood of Jesus. I occasionally listen to Tejano when I'm out at Brauning Lake. Nothing like listening to some Senena, eating Barbacoa and drinking Big Red...Viva La Raza, ese!! Vatos Locos!!

I don't mean to seem cruel, but we are talking here about a person who was a singer in bar rooms and other unsavory places. There is a lot of sinning in those establishments and I can't help but to think all that sin and drinking had something to do with her unfortunate death. Those bars should all be closed down and the people who run them should be in jail where they can't corrupt the youth. That is what Jesus would want done. Also, from the looks of that painting of this poor child, there is a move in the Catholic Church to make her a Saint. Then people will be praying to her and they will be in a lot of trouble with God. The Lord of Heaven has made it clear there will be no worshipping graven images or any other gods, for that matter. This is, all things considered, a very dicey situation and it is one that should be kept out of the public's eye for a while. There is no telling what mischief could result from this situation.

I just returned from Sunset Station. I wanted to participate in the Selena Memorial. There was no one there. On top of that, they would not let me take a picture for RiverCityBlogger. They said, 'It's private property and I am not authorized.' I gotta say, whataJoke! A friend in Corpus Christi said it is a a Biggie down there... Oh well... whataya gonna do...
