I had my first In-N-Out Burger about ten years ago at Fisherman's Wharf, SF. Great of memories! I resolved then whether I would live long enough to experience our Texas Rangers advance to the World Series and In-N-Out come to Texas. Enough said!

The only thing that could possibly make In-N-Out cheeseburgers better is to add New Mexico green chile to them. Whataburger...5 guys? Not in the same ballpark. In-N-Out rules!

In-n-Out is definitely not a fad. CA natives may not have voted it a state treasure like our Whataburger, but that's more likely because of a health food cultural bias rather than a lack of pride in the chain. Family owned and operated, they never grew further east because of a commitment to freshness that limited stores to the range meat could be shipped fresh. One comment noted that they had scripture under the soda cup...that's not the only place you will find it...have a scavenger hunt on the fry container. Their beliefs are there in their business but not "in your face." Great burger, great business model, great pay for their employees...GREAT ADDITION TO TEXAS!

I had some during a recent visit at Cali. It was great! Everything they serve is fresh. If you look at the bottom of their drink cup it says John 3:16. I Love In and Out Burger!

There are 2 things I miss about CA other than family and friends. In N Out and Trader Joe's! With that said, I had In-N-Out in AZ a couple mos. ago and was not impressed. I think they were stingy with the sauce or something--just not that great as I remembered. The ones in CA were wonderful, and we had the same major traffic problems with police directing traffic every time a new one opened. Once the novelty wears off, it's just another decent burger joint.

In and Out....meh....had it in Vegas and wasn't impressed. Just another California fad. Anyone else remember when the lines at Krispy Kreme were outrageous too? Give it time and this fad will subside too.

Was this article turned in written in Crayon? This is some of the worst writing I've ever seen.
