But, it's also a time to celebrate our patriotism and enjoy time with family.

Jenga-Great game played with small wooden logs stacked to make a tower. Players take turns removing one log at a time trying not to knock down the tower. If you do, then you must start over. You can spend hours playing it indoors or at a picnic table outside. You can find it at any department store selling games.
Tick Tac Toe-Make a larger version of the game with a picnic table cloth and bean bags.
Ping Pong Ball-Take two small cups and put one in front of the other on a flat surface. Place the ping pong ball inside. While holding the cups together, players move the ping pong ball into the next cup by blowing it over with their breath.
"America's Got Talent"-Keep the patriotic theme and have everyone dress in red, white and blue and create your own talent show.
Don't forget to end the day with some fun treats like dogs on a stick or hot apple pie!
