This summer the kids are at home with plenty of extra time to interact with a new furry friend! Cathy McCoy with the Humane Society came by to show us some precious animals. Curly, a male kitten, is up for adoption right now along with Peanut! Peanut is a female terrier who will eventually weigh up to 30 pounds. "She is extremely sweet and calm for a puppy," Cathy said. Peanut is already fixed so she can be adopted right away! It is such a joy to have animals in the household and the humane society is sheltering so many right now that would love to become a part of your family.
If you currently can't adopt a pet there are many other ways to help out these animals. Volunteers are needed at the humane society and providing a foster home for a pet is also a great way to contribute! Donations are accepted for the Medical Rescue Fund as well as the Heartworm Fund and many more. You can find all kinds of animals at the Humane Society in San Antonio!
