Hey guys its Blake. Looks like I am doing the blog this week. It’s been a crazy last couple of weeks with all the wedding planning, but it should hopefully slow down by the end of this week.
I have been following Bethany around as she goes and picks out shoes and girly stuff (like most grooms do) and I know that she is so excited about the bridesmaid dresses that she picked out at Julian Gold.
I have even gone to Versi Salon with Bethany. Yes, I am manly enough to admit I have been getting some pampering too. I am going to get my hair cut and trimmed today along with a facial. Bethany and I have really formed good relationships with the owner, Elena, and some of the hair stylists over there. They have all been great.
Bethany has done such a good job working with Diana Boucher our wedding planner, and Carolina Lujan from Hotel Valencia scheduling all of our meetings with the various vendors. I try to help out as much as I can. It’s been challenging since we are in finals week at school; I know Bethany and I will be very happy once school is out.
On my end, the wedding is pretty much put together. After all, as the groom I am just along for the ride, right? I picked out my tux from Josephs and it is awesome; tailored and sharp. My groomsmen have also gotten all their fittings done and are ready to go.
Bethany and I have an appointment with Chris, our DJ from Future Sounds, on Saturday to pick out some of the music that we would like played at the reception. I am really looking forward to that part of the planning. It’s going to be fun for me to pick out some great celebration music for our guests to enjoy.
Let’s see, what else is there... I got Bethany’s wedding band this week, and if I may say so myself, it looks gorgeous. I just know she is going to love it!
I can’t believe it is all coming together -- thanks to Diana, Hotel Valencia, WOAI and SA Living, the vendors and everyone else putting this together. I feel kind of helpless not being able to help much and am just trying to support Bethany as much as possible -- and do what I am told :)
