Sure, Bethany and Blake have wonderful memories from their Hotel Valencia Wedding Experience, but the event has also touched everyone involved...
Carolina Lujan with Hotel Valencia:
I can’t believe the wedding has come and gone so quickly! It was an honor to be part of such an amazing experience from start to finish; and to work with Bethany and Blake was a thrill. They were young and energetic which lifted the whole program. We had the pleasure of representing the wonderful Hotel Valencia from our outstanding venue to our acclaimed Chef Jeff Balfour and our remarkable staff, who always amaze us with their hard work and dedication. Everything successfully came together with the help of great vendors. It was wonderful having the opportunity to work with so many of the outstanding professionals that San Antonio has to offer, from the flowers, music, jewelry, gown, tux, photos, invitations, jewelry, etc. All of this added up to a perfect event. We set out to make this wedding memorable and I think we exceeded our wildest expectations. We hope to do the same for all our other Hotel Valencia wedding couples.
Chris Koval with Future Sounds DJ Service:
We here at Future Sounds DJ Service felt so lucky to participate in Blake and Bethany's wedding day. Not having met them, I watched their video several times to get a feel for the couple. Choosing a First Dance song for a couple you have never met is no easy task but I wanted to find selections that reflected their relationship. Several hours of digging through our music library and listening to lyrics, I was able to narrow it down to three choices. We were finally able to meet Blake and Bethany a week before the wedding day and were thrilled to hear how happy they were with the final song selection, "With this ring" by T. Carter.
Allison Orr with You’ve Got Paper:
You’ve Got Paper was involved in all the “paper” portions of the wedding for Bethany and Blake – including the invitations, rsvp cards, direction cards, menu cards, escort cards, and table numbers. We created 3 separate invitations loosely based on the visions of the wedding planners, but once we met with the couple, we created an invitation within Diana Boucher’s color scheme that truly represented Bethany and Blake’s style. We spent time with the couple to really get to know them, their personalities, and their dream for their invitations. Everything we created from that meeting coordinated with the invitation for a beautiful day! You’ve Got Paper strives to capture the vision of a couple and turn it into reality on paper!
Brooke Harris with Goen South:
At Goen South we focus on personalizing your wedding from start to finish. We love to intertwine you into every part of the wedding. Being that Bethany and Blake were founded on a promise ring, I felt this couple had a very rare and innocent love, a kind of love from our grandparents’ age, very nostalgic and sweet. I took my inspiration from their love, the venue and the tablescape created by Diana. Because the tables were covered in this elegant copper linen with gold silverware, I instantly thought a creamy, peach and orange color scheme would compliment Diana’s vision perfectly. I wanted their wedding to be filled with romance but it needed a touch of modern from Hotel Valencia, so I decided to use a “vintage chic” theme. I chose to use roses throughout to capitalize on their romance. For the ceremony we placed cream rose balls with chocolate and cream ribbon down the aisle. We brought in our gorgeous iron trees dripping with florals. We repurposed two bird baths for the communion and union tables also overflowing with florals. I added Gardenias in her bouquet for a sweet scent and a nostalgic feel. We used modern vases and wrapped them in a beautiful copper fabric. These were pinned with pearl pins for an antique feel. We brought in antique chandeliers and placed them around the cake table, and filled the room with candlelight. It was a beautiful wedding and we are proud to have been a part of it. Thank you San Antonio!
David Sixt with David Sixt Photography:
Blake and Bethany's wedding was wonderful. It was a joy to work with a couple who went into their wedding with such a strong foundation of faith and commitment. One could easily see the love they share for each other. Even though this wedding was a "production" of sorts, they never let that get in the way of the sacredness of the day. How refreshing is that! I want to thank Hotel Valencia and their staff, especially Carolina and Amy. Their attention to detail was impeccable; and they really know how to treat those involved. They put together a first class event they can be proud of. We had a blast with WOAI also. Their team of professionals worked seamlessly with everyone and were so kind and generous. The editing truly showed the event as it was--full of holiness, love, joy, romance and celebration. It was an honor for my team and me to participate.
