“Interface” and “integrate,” two words that may seem very similar, but are very different. Integration means a single set of files, shared by all applications. And, when you purchase software from several sources, you risk losing true integration. You will spend more time and money trying to interface between systems and you will eventually grow weary of the endless promises. If you are not using a single set of files shared by all applications, then you are wasting a lot of time and money. Don’t totally blame the vendor(s); shame on the decision makers who failed to investigate the performance records of these vendors.

SAPD It team is the City's ITSD crew they have been transfering people back and forth for 6 years trying to fix this system, I use GPS for surveying and it is connected to AT&T on a data plan the SAPD uses and i even have trouble getting it to work some times but other companies on the out side of the city that use the same equipment but not the AT&T data plan are doing really well with the GPS

This should have been proven technology before being fielded. This is a common legacy system problem. Early adopters become the beta testers.

well, sapd has their own IT team and didnt want the help of the city's IT team. fire the sapd IT team. or just the leadership of the team.
