To the person who says not many ride the bus. You are wrong when you say no one rides the bus. I ride and can tell you, always has more than people riding, quite a few times it is standing room only. I've ridden the new bus and they do stop at lights. Also, when you say that only the homeless ride, you are one sick puppy. Ive seen a little of everyone riding. Remember some people can't drive due to medical reason and take the bus, some people will park car's at park and ride and take bus to work downtown. People will park at park and rides and take bus to special events. To say only the homeless ride is pure bull. That being said, the new bus may be quicker, but not the most comfortable thing to ride

there is nothing that can be done you idiots voted for the mayor and council so live with it and stop crying cause half of you need the bus to get you to haven for hope.

Let me add to that they just announced the fare is going up.

VIA is wasting money no matter what they are equipped with. Ever notice how many people actually ride a bus? Every time I see a bus, I look to see how many passengers are in it. Often it's only 1 or 2, rarely I see 3, and never do I see more than that. A van would work as well as a bus and be a lot cheaper to run. They just got a fleet of new buses a couple years ago, and now they want a trolley system. I think it's time to look at the books and figure out if VIA is worth saving at all. I think it's time to learn if they are running in the red,or black, and if they like other government run companies spend our tax dollars on expensive lunches, dinners, and parties.

I can't believe people are complaining about this. They get mad because the bus takes to long on a route because of bus stops and red lights. Now VIA has done something to help get these buses moving and now it's a bad thing. As a former VIA operator I know first hand that it was hell trying to get down Fredricksburg Rd. Try riding the PRIMO Bus and see how much it helps. Faster Service....thats what the public wants from VIA, right? Well there you go. ENJOY. Thanks VIA for ALL you do.

Buses get their own lanes downtown. They frequently block traffic behind them when loading riders, often causing cars behind them to get caught at a red light. Now, they are getting even more favorable treatment! Of course, if they can manipulate the traffic lights to get a green light - that means someone else who would have had a green light, gets stopped by a red light. How is that fair? What's next the Mayor's limousine gets one? Or does he already have it?

If you're in heavy traffic, just stay next to a VIA bus and you'll sail through traffic lights. Just sayin'...

If this is the trend for VIA than everyone driving a independent vehicle along these routes will be getting LESS miles per gallon. VIA will be wasting our money.
