Spurs fan, lenny, and mike. You'll are truly stupid. Do yourself a favor and look at the statistics for the past year in property crimes for the stone oak area and the criminals caught. (Hint=they are from that area where rich people live) Please respond.

Oh..... they VOTED !! Now they don't care b/c "their man" is going to take care of them! Let's see how many go out to vote for the current elections !

txmike, I doubt these turds even voted. That would mean doing something productive with their useless lives!!!

SAPD: When you arrest a property thief, ask them which Presidential candidate they supported? I'll bet the car thieves, those who break in are 100-1 Obama supporters. I'd love to see that data to confirm this theory. Just a hunch. It's the liberals who feel they're entitled to something belonging to someone else or something for nothing. Maybe the thieves are doing a little preemptory redistribution of wealth!

I believe the best protection and deterrence to all the crime is for all the good law abiding citizens in San Antonio to attend a Texas conceal carry class and be armed. All those damn criminals are armed to their teeth and do not hesitate to kill any person who resists an armed robbery or theft. We need to fight back to keep what is rightfully ours. The property we have worked day in and day out to afford. And for some low life maggot just to come along and say that they want it and take it is totally unacceptable.

Two things- why do people think they have ANY right to touch other peoples' things? I go to work and work my keester off day in and day out and unlike what these creeps think- it is NOT to let them have what I earned. ON another note- don't trick your truck and expect people to leave you alone. I have a simple little economical car and it was broken into...I was naive/lazy and didn't hide miy belongings, so the lowlife saw a cell phone and iPod and thought it totally belonged in his hands (saddest part was he answered my phone when I called it!) If you don't want it stolen, take it with you or don't put it in your car at all! It's sad, but society sucks and you have to fight back.

We drove over three thousand miles in September. Through New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Oklahoma. With Texas plates we should have been prime targets, yet there wasn't a scratch put on my van. Why? Preventive efforts. Not parking where the car could not easily be seen, covering anything left in the car with a black cloth at night, locking the doors, insuring that the alarm was always on. It just takes a bit of effort. Yet when we shop in San Antonio, we use my wife's car and lock everything in the trunk. Why? Because they will break the glass locally, just in case.

Unfortunately, even when apprehended, these types of thieves are considered to be "Non-violent" criminals and usually get a pass from the criminal justice system. That is my cheif objection to the system. Were these types treated a bit tougher by the system, it might just be a little more determent. But people likewise are careless by leaving suff in plan sight and unwittingly become victims to a crime for which thre is little punishment except to the victim's pocketbook.

I was told while Shopping at Home Depot yesterday (by a Mgr) that HD parking lot's get hit on average about 21 times a week ! That's for ALL HD's in SA. When asked why they don't offer customers parking security, his answer was "it's not in corporate budget". But did kindly remind me that signs are posted in the parking lots to NOT leave valuables in the bed's of my pick up. Retail Stores & Mall's just don't care !

It should be mandatory for all stores to hire security during the Holiday season. How many should depend on the square footage of the parking lot.
