From SATXDEVILDOG:It's still happening. Just paid the Feb. bill and it was almost double any of the 12 previous months. I called to inquire about a mistake or broken meter. They had me give them the reading over the phone and said the reading was right and didn't even offer to test it. SAD SERVICE! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! After all Channel 4 reported on these guys before for their upper management having over priced dinners and other unjustified expences. How do you think they pay for that? ...US!

Thank you CPS for continuing to bend over hard working citizens and really going to town on us. When i bring my tricks from prostituting to pay off the electricity bill, I'll remember to turn out the lights. I'm curious, since there really isn't anything us citizens can do, how much further do you all think that CPS can get away with this? I mean we all know that they've been in money scandals before but its getting a little much. No?

CPS must stand for Crap Public Service! Some how my November and December usage calculation came in around 928 kWh with the October calculation slightly higher. My current bill is telling me my household used 2218 kWh for the month. Not only is that double what we've used in the past 3 months, it's more than we used at our highest peak in the summer!!!

I’ve lived in apartments since moving to SA nearly 4 years ago. As a result, I had no frame of reference as to how much I was actually paying. My last bill, even though I used fewer Kwh, was more expensive, about $95 for a 1-bedroom apartment in a month where I didn’t run the heat or AC. After speaking with some coworkers, each owning a 3-bedroom house, I learned that I always pay more than they do! How is this possible? Why am I paying more for an 850sq ft, 1-bedroom apartment, then they’re paying for homes twice the size and with multiple family members? Someone told me it’s how apartments break down the energy usage and divide it equally amongst the tenants in each apartment block. Is this even legal? If I forgo energy usage as a means of lowering my bill while others go to town and use their Ac or heat, I’m getting screwed.

They installed one of the electronic meters about 10 years ago. They drive by and read it from their car with some sort of device. Guess they got tired of jumping the wall into my backyard 'cause I always keep the gates locked. By the way, I also had one of those in the early 1990s at my other house in San Antonio. Guess some people are still behind...way behind. :)

One thing I notice is the lack of information concerning the UNION! These meter readers are unionized, so for those of you who are saying CPS could just hire more of them don't understand Unions.
