SAN ANTONIO -- Some big problems led to a poor health inspection score for a West Side restaurant.

La Cocina on West Commerce near Old Highway 90 earned 41 demerits on its latest inspection. Anything higher than 30 demerits is considered a poor score.

The restaurant was cited for roaches, dirty equipment, and food in the refrigerator that was not properly labeled. Workers did not want to talk to the News 4 WOAI Trouble Shooters Kitchen Cops about the issues. But the city's inspector told them to take care of the roach problem immediately.

Blue Plate Award

This week's Blue Plate Award goes to Moe's Southwest Grill on Stone Oak Parkway.

The owner, Rob Baumberger, said he works hard to keep his restaurant clean, and that keeps his customers coming back.

"We want people to enjoy the experience and be a part of what Moe's is all about," explained Baumberger. "It's fun, good food, and having a good time."

Congratulations to Moe's on earning a perfect score on its latest health inspection.
