You may remember her as the other women in the Bexar County Housing Authority scandal uncovered by the Trouble Shooters in late 2003. Adrianna Vann got taxpayer money to pay the mortgage on her house. Her mother in law, Christine Torres, ran the housing agency but was later fired.

That Trouble Shooters investigation resulted in both women pleading guilty to felonies, but avoiding jail time. Now, News 4 Trouble Shooter Brian Collister is breaking the story that one of them may now be headed behind bars.
When Adrianna Vann was in court last year, she had just pleaded guilty to a felony count of theft in connection with the scandal at the county housing authority. The Trouble Shooters had uncovered Vann was cashing housing payment checks sent to her own mother.
The judge gave her a form of probation called deferred adjudication, but now Vann could be heading to prison, after all. She was arrested on charges of filing a false report to a police officer.
Investigators say Vann recently claimed her car had been stolen from this parking lot at the Huebner Oaks shopping center. The torched shell of her car was later found in Comal County and Vann filed an insurance claim, but investigators say they have evidence that Vann torched her own car in order to collect the insurance money.
She could face more charges including insurance fraud. A revocation hearing on her original case is set for next month where the judge could decide she must now go to prison. We'll let you know what happens.
