SAN ANTONIO -- BMW has recalled almost 570,000 cars in the USA and Canada.
The recall affects popular 3 Series sedans, wagons, convertibles and coupes from 2007 through 2011.
Also included in the recall are cars from the 1-Series coupes and convertibles from 2008 through 2012 and Z4 sports cars from 2009 through 2011.
According to the company, the cars can unexpectedly stall because of a problem with a battery cable connector.
BMW says the battery cable problem has caused what the company has described as “one minor collision” in Canada. That accident had no injuries.
