As a camp hopeful, getting invited to an NBA training camp is one thing but the goal is to survive, making a huge impression on the coaching staff, survive the cuts, and be the last one standing. So far, that is exactly what is happening for San Antonio Spurs guard Wesley Witherspoon as he and Josh Powell are the last two players standing for the final roster spot.
And with the regular season right around the corner, Witherspoon is crossing his fingers he will be wearing black and silver for 82-games.
It will be tough for him to make the squad considering the team is loaded with guards. Even if he does make the roster, he'd more than likely would be riding the bench. Moreover, with the team needing size, Powell might have the inside track.
