Since then, the team has been in a drought. They have gotten close like last year when they marched to the Western Conference Finals but came up short against the Thunder and will look to win it all again this season.
Spurs owner Peter Holt recently was honored with the Good Scout Award, and during his acceptance speech, he joked on how he reminds head coach Gregg Popovich that the franchise hasn't won the NBA title in quite some time. Needless to say, the crowd got a great laugh out of it.
