For years teams have been trying to be like the San Antonio Spurs. No team has been more consistent over the last 15 years, so why not? The Spurs have built a successful mold that other teams are going to try to copy, but in my opinion, no one has accomplished that goal yet.

After hitting the game winner against the Spurs last week, Utah Jazz guard Mo Williams made reference to the fact that teams want to be like the Spurs, but you don’t always want to be stuck to the mold (via Bill Oram of The Salt Lake Tribune).

Mo Williams says Spurs are a team "you kind of model yourself [after], but at the same time, you don’t want to be step brothers forever." — Bill Oram (@tribjazz) December 13, 2012
