San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan is one of the few players in the NBA who's extremely popular without being flashy or becoming normal to controversy.

In this occasion, Duncan is linked to violent incidents because of his newly released Nike Air shoes. As reported by WJLA.com, there have been a few incidents where three individuals were held at gunpoint for their shoes. The shoes are extremely popular as they go for as much as $250 for a pair according to the site.

The newly released Tim Duncan Nike Air tennis shoes are so popular bids for the shoe on eBay start at $250 but can end up selling for hundreds more, observers say.
