No Tony Parker, no problem! Spurs rookie George Hill did just fine in his first start. But now an NBA superstar wants to take Hill’s position.

New York Knicks guard Stephon Marbury is stuck on the bench. He's not a part of their plans and has not played a single minute this year. Marbury makes 22 million a year and there is talk that the Knicks may buy him out, waive him and make him a free agent. Marbury say's if that happens, he wants to be a Spur.

“Who wouldn't want to play for San Antonio?” said Marbury. “To play with Tim Duncan - who would complain about that? That's a great organization. They win championships. They have a nice system and I like Popovich as coach.”

Stephon may like Coach Pop, but I know Coach Pop, and I know that Marbury is poison. There's a reason he's not a part of the Knicks plans, and it's the same reason he is won't be part of the Spurs either.

Plus, George Hill looked pretty good Tuesday night. He had 12 points in his first ever start. Roger Mason added another 10. Both did a nice job taking up the slack for Parker, but it was Timmy who was the real point guard. Duncan dished out 7 assists, not to mention his 23 points as the Spurs got their first home win of the year.
