By Kyle Boenitz, Project Spurs.comYou can blame the loss of Tony Parker all you want, but it’s clear the San Antonio Spurs are not in top playoff form. If the postseason started today, there wouldn’t be a lot of hope for their chances to reach the NBA Finals.
Luckily, there are still 15 games left on the schedule, and the Spurs are hoping to get Parker back with plenty of time to get back into top gear before the playoffs.
For now though, they have to be focused on maintaining the top seed in the Western Conference, which has been shaky lately with some big losses and close games against sub-.500 teams. Interestingly though, the Spurs also have some big wins against Chicago and Oklahoma City without Parker. Tim Duncan says the team is just out of their groove.
