Despite being linked to every big name available in the trade market, the San Antonio Spurs stood pat during the trade deadline.

The team was linked to Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, and most recently J.J. Redick, but there's also reports coming out that San Antonio expressed interest in Jason Maxiell from the Detroit Pistons.

The San Antonio Spurs also inquired about Maxiell, while the Oklahoma City Thunder were interested in Will Bynum. (DetroitNews.com)

In the end, the same Spurs team that has the best record in the NBA is the same one that'll be going forward in the quest for a fifth championship ring. While many Spurs fans and NBA fans in general thought the Spurs would willingly stay pat, various reports like such from Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski tell a different story.
