By Jose Grijalva, Project Spurs.comThe San Antonio Spurs are about to reach a milestone for the team that they thought wouldn't happen again after the team got older and started dropping from the defensive ratings these past few years.
The Spurs are about to enter their 14th season of reaching 50 wins this season, only two shy of this accomplishment.
This stretch began during the 1999-2000 season when the team went 53-29. The year before the Spurs only had a 37-13 record due to the lockout shortened season. This is impressive from the team, as they've kept the same core of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili since the 2002-2003 season.
