MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- San Antonio guard Tony Parker left Saturday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a broken bone in his right hand.

Parker, the team's second-leading scorer at 16.6 points a game, injured the hand at the end of the first half, according to Spurs officials.

Parker broke the fourth metacarpal -- the bone between the bottom knuckle and the wrist -- and did not return to the game.

Parker had eight points and four assists before the injury.

There is no timetable on when he'll return to the lineup.

Scandals is 100% correct. Either play for your NBA team OR play for your country in the off season....stop doing both! Parker and Ginooooobili are both damaged goods because they get hurt playing for their home country during the Spurs off season. Hey, if you want to play for your country, I am all for that. At the same time it is seriously FUBARing the Spurs. Does anyone think that Gino and Parker's off season playing didnt account for their current injuries? I ask, the fans, because the 'emmy award winning sports anchor' won't. STOP THE OFF SEASON PLAY. Either play for the Spurs and nobody else or don't. For the love of God I wish the Spurs would do better because this lady high school basketball coverage is lame in the biggest degree.

tough year for tony but he brought some of this on himself by not resting in the off season. Yes the hand was bad luck but those ankle injuries are the result of him getting hurt playing overseas when he should've been at home resting. He needs to learn to play smarter and not take a tumble every darn time he flies to the basket for a lay up. I hope to see him in the play offs the Spurs need him.

You can still love the Spurs while being confident that they are done for the year. They are done for the year.

Wow, talk about negativity... glad i don't work with hal2000 or phrilly. This story is about Tony Parker's injury. This team has made it as far as it has because of players like Timmy and Manu. You've either not lived in this city very long or had your heads under a rock for the last 10 years. Many of the NBA teams that have new blood right now are just re-building (with not so good records). Seems like the Spurs have been slowly bringing in new players & slowly the experienced (and well loved and respected) players have and/or are being transitioned out. As for me, I remain a loyal Spurs & Popovich fan. Godspeed on your recovery, Tony!

Amen hal2000, I'm sick of hearing about all the problems with the geriatric set on the Spurs team. They need to wrap Tony in bubblewrap, he's AWAYS getting hurt, if not him then it's Manu. They need a YOUNGER team and get some new blood in. Timmy should go along with them as well. I've never seen what everyone sees in him with his hit and miss games and 1 out of 5 free shots. He even looks old.
