When Mark Cuban is on your side, you know you’ve got a problem. After NBA commissioner David Stern $250,000 fine for breaking non-existent rules, the Mavs' owner has come to his defense.

“If he would have done the same thing the next night, it'd be a completely different conversation,” Cuban said on NBA.com. “Common sense. Recognize who pays your check.”

If you think about it, Cuban’s defense is actually a backhanded insult.
