Rasheed Wallace

Now that Rasheed Wallace has decided to sign with the Celtics, who’s left on the Spurs’ radar. Is the addition of Marcus Haislip, one of the most sought-after free agents in Europe, going to help ease the pain of missing out on Sheed? Besides being able to throw a mean punch, does Haislip bring much to the squad? The panel also talks about the tragic murder of Steve McNair. There’s also some strange talk about tennis. Click here to watch…

Look at what we have...Bonner, Blair,(either Big Baby or McDyess)to team up with Duncan. I would say the Spurs are doing pretty decent. Rasheed (although a very good player), the scoring is not important for this position. We need rebounds, especially offensive rebounds. Big Baby and McDyess are great for that. LET IT GO....Once the Spurs get one of these guys signed, were are back in the championship mix. Remember...we have one of the top (if not the top) evaluator of talent in Popovich. Check out who he drafted and picked up while in Golden State? Remember when they went to the Western Conference Championship? Pop picked talent. Where have they gone since then? One one playoff series. RELAX...the Spurs know what they are doing.

Oberto and Ginobili aren't European they are Argentinean! thats in SOUTH AMERICA not in EUROPE. i'm not arguing their stinky breath though Oberto looks like he has yuck mouth!

Nobody seems to be complaining about "European stinky" Parker and Ginobili Buford has done great things for the Spurs to keep them in contention for over 8 years. Rasheed wanted the money and the limelight. He wasn't the answer anyway. I'd much rather have a younger big man to learn the Spurs system rather than an old dog who can't learn any new tricks.

First of all, I blame noone else but the Spurs front office management! While the Celtics are banging down on Sheeds door physically, the Spurs RC Buford is too busy doing his hair at a salon in Alamo Heights! RC and the front office weren't aggresive enough to contact Rasheed. He was the answer the Spurs needed! Now we go out and sign another no name European stinky breath loser, like Oberto to try and solve the problem! Typical RC Buford behavior, let em walk, let em walk!!

Ok first of all, Sheed wasn't the answer. That would be like saying bringing back Bruce Bowen is the answer, the final piece of the puzzle yada yada yada. The team still needs a big man who can clog up the lane. It seems we have shooters. We need a big body that can either A) sub for Tim when he needs a break or B) play alongside Tim to take some bigs off his back. If you recall the championship years, we had a big Robinson (99), Robinson (03), Rasho and Nazr (05) and Elson (07). As you can, see other than Robinson, neither one of the other guys was a scorer but they did body up to the likes of Shaq, Chandler, Camby, Garnett. Hopefully somebody like Antonio McDyess falls into our hands or even Camby but we shall see. Either way, the Lakers, Cavs, Magic have all made strides for the upcoming season and let's hope the Spurs continue to do the same. GO SPURS GO!
