With weeks of the San Antonio Spurs seemingly having a tryout for who ultimately will backup Tony Parker with their abundance in point guards, it seems Nando De Colo may have won the spot.

De Colo, a rookie this year in the NBA, has played well for the team especially when he's had to start. That may have been what pushed him over Patrick Mills and Gary Neal for the backup role.

De Colo is averaging 3.4ppp and 1.9apg in 11.6mpg but as a starter he's been averaging an impressive 12ppg and 6apg in 33.5mpg. The Spurs are known as an organization that rewards its players when they're doing well and it's apparent that Nando De Colo has earned his spot as Tony Parker explained via Le10Sport.com.
