@MarcelinoCR - it should read "it serves them right! If I saved my money to go to a Spurs and Miami game, expecting Lebron, Wade, and Bosh, VS Duncan, Ginóbili and Parker, I better get my my money's worth! now that I fixed your attrocious grammar, my retort. People DON'T buy tickets that read "Duncan, Ginóbili and Parker VS Miami Heat", it's Spurs VS Miami. So keep that in mind, the Spurs are made up of more than JUST those 3 guys. Second, your "moneys worthe" could be put to better use, such as going back to school and polishing up your English. THANK YOU! @golfnut - same goes to you about the names on the ticket. People pay a lot to see the TEAMS play ball, not specific players. The roster is never permanently set, so GET OVER IT! ^^ golf sucks by the way.

Here's an idea. How about if Mike Bianchi from the Orlando Sentinel takes off work "STUPID" for such a boneheaded comparison? Even the muckraking fools in the media know this was Pop's call. The Spurs detractors just want to create drama. What utter and complete hogwash. If you "couldn't care less" @Gecko, why did you even read the article, much less comment?

What will Pop do during the Rodeo Road Trip? That scheduling problem is not the fault of the NBA but, rather, the Spurs (or, more specifically, Bexar County and the City of San Antonio). It can get expensive taking on the power structure.

@girau it takes more than one lousy ref to lose a game. Either way what was one game gonna do for the spurs? They still lost anyways. Stop making excuses for a loss #ThunderUp

its a shame the nba is allowed to fine any team for something like this. stern is not with the team; no clue as to the mental or physical state of the players thats a call the boss (pop) makes. sterns an idiot, of course most of us have known that for a long time

Now let’s address if the spurs needed to rest. I don’t think so. Basketball players should be able to play the whole game without a rest. Between all the penalties and the half time they get enough time to take a breather. For one the NBA players make way too much money for the time spent on the court. The NBA players would never survive in a soccer game. Soccer players rarely get a rest. They run and play harder than any other pro athlete for a lot less money.

NBA Commissioner David Stern needs to retire. He should not dictate when and who plays. 250K?? The fine is part of Sterns retirement package. Will the fans that missed seeing the big 3 receive any of the money? NO! So why the fine? If the players would have not gone home and sat on the bench would the spurs have received a fine? Miami Heat fans did not pay to watch the spurs.
