Now let’s address if the spurs needed to rest. I don’t think so. Basketball players should be able to play the whole game without a rest. Between all the penalties and the half time they get enough time to take a breather. For one the NBA players make way too much money for the time spent on the court. The NBA players would never survive in a soccer game. Soccer players rarely get a rest. They run and play harder than any other pro athlete for a lot less money.

NBA Commissioner David Stern needs to retire. He should not dictate when and who plays. 250K?? The fine is part of Sterns retirement package. Will the fans that missed seeing the big 3 receive any of the money? NO! So why the fine? If the players would have not gone home and sat on the bench would the spurs have received a fine?
