There's some good news for San Antonio Spurs 2012 NBA draftee guard Marcus Denmon and his road to recovery from foot surgery.

As you may recall, Denmon broke his right foot in the opening game for French team Chalon-Elan. He underwent surgery to repair his broken right foot where a metal rod was placed in his foot to strengthen it and to avoid further injury.

According to French site Le Journal, Denmon's rehab is going great and the boot to protect his repaired foot is off and could be back on the practice court for Chalon in the near future.

"He's happy as a kid," laughs (Chalon coach) Gregor Beugnot who is hopeful that the American will be able to resume group training January 7 with the rest of the team.

Moreover, according Le Journal, Denmon could be back on the court in two weeks once the Spurs' medical staff approves.
