The San Antonio Spurs need size. Aside from Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter, the team doesn't have much to contend with the likes of big teams like the Lakers, Grizzlies and Thunder.
So far during the offseason, the Spurs seemed to have stocked up on guards but not much as far as help in the frontcourt - much to the chagrin of Spurs fans.
However, once the offseason began, there were rumors Slovenian big man Erazem Lorbek was heading to San Antonio to join the team heading into next season but in the end, Spanish club Regal Barcelona made him a lucrative offer he couldn't refuse and chose to stay overseas.
But for Lorbek, the choice to not make his way to the NBA was easy but he isn't closing the door on playing in the NBA in the future.
Pointing to his health and style of play, here is what Lorbek had to say (via Mundo Deportivo) about signing with Regal and not San Antonio.
