SAN ANTONIO - Former San Antonio Spur Alvin Robertson is claiming that he's not guilty of charges he is facing involving a sex trafficking ring and a 14-year-old girl.
"I feel 100, 200, 300 percent sure that I'm going to walk away from this thing without any charges... I'm here to tell you that I'm going to fight this thing. I'm innocent, we're innocent and I look forward to our day in court," said Robertson.
The former NBA All-Star made those comments during The Chris and Jason sports radio show Monday night on ESPN 1250. He was referring to himself and his girlfriend, who is also charged.
News 4 WOAI caught up with Robertson after his radio comments, but he wouldn't comment further without his lawyer present.
Investigators say Robertson is part of a ring that kidnapped a local 14-year-old girl, forced her to strip at a club, and have sex for money. In addition to Robertson's girlfriend, five other people have been arrested in the case.
