On NBA.com, there is an online poll in which fans can vote on which NBA team they project will win the Southwest Division this coming season.
To little surprise, the San Antonio Spurs, who have been the best team in the Western Conference in the regular season for two straight years, are a heavy favorite. Here are the numbers.
San Antonio Spurs (64%), Memphis Grizzlies (13%), Dallas Mavericks (9%), New Orleans Hornets (7%), Houston Rockets (6%).
It’s hard to argue with those projections. First, the Spurs, who won 50 games in a lockout season and finished with the best record in the West not only brought everyone back outside of James Anderson from last season, but the team that had three individual 10 plus game winning streaks also added just one new face, French guard Nando De Colo.
