The San Antonio Spurs definitely need to add more size to the roster. We’ve known that for years. This year, they have some options, but definitely a tough choice.
Josh Powell and Eddy Curry have been competing hard to make the final cut. They’ve put up similar numbers in the Spurs’ two preseason games, making it hard to distinguish between the pair.
So how do the Spurs choose?
It’s not going to be easy, but I think you have to go with Curry. He’s been wildly inconsistent these past few years because of injury and his heart problems, but I think he’s shown a lot of dedication to return to where he should be. He’s slimmed down and put in the conditioning work, and looks ready to go.
