SAN ANTONIO – The first week of high school football playoffs brought us some very impressive plays. We looked at them all, and now announce the play of the week nominees….

NOMINEE #1: Roosevelt's Steven Marshall went 79 yards for the touchdown Friday night against New Braunfels.  game. takes off. 79 yard td. The Rough Riders beat the unicorns 41-7.

NOMINEE #2: Jordan Sterns and the Steele Knights special teams pulled off one of the best punt returns all year. Broken tackles, spins, cut-backs, and crucial blacks resulted in a 46 yard spectacular touchdown. Steele beat Marshal 49-17.

NOMINEE #3: The very first play from Kerrville Tivy Saturday night was a gem. Parks McNeil to Tyler Ahrens for an 83 yard touchdown. Ahrens had 4 touchdowns in Tivy's 63-28 win over Jefferson.
