SAN ANTONIO - Marble Falls quarterback Mike Richardson set a state record in the Mustangs’ 62-55 win over Boerne Champion on Thursday night. Richardson passed for 715 yards. He completed 35 of 44 passes and threw for seven touchdowns.

“It’s one of (those) deals that we knew we were going to score a lot of points because they were pretty explosive themselves offensively,” Marble Falls coach Todd Dodge told statesman.com. “We started off hot, got some match-ups we liked. We threw for 722 yards and needed every single one of them.”
The old record of 683 yards in a single game was held by Wichita Falls’ Dylan Sheffield in a game against Denton last year.
