SAN ANTONIO -- Former South San athletic director and Basketball Coach Gary Durbon announced Wednesday he is resigning his position with the district.
Durbon has been at the center of controversy at the district. Late last year, Durbon was reassigned from his duties at coach and athletic director after an audit found that more than $16,000 collected at football games was missing.
In his resignation letter, Durbon said he was disappointed with the decisions the district has made, and therefore had to submit his resignation.
