SAN ANTONIO -- Can one simple act of kindness, one gesture of compassion, really make an impact? It can and has at, of all places, a football game.

News 4 WOAI David Chancellor found out how one local family has given an entire community a reason to cheer.

If you'd like to help Lindsay cheer on the Steele Knights this week, the team plays Friday night at Heroes Stadium against Brandeis High School.

I've had a horrible week.....but in 3 minutes, by just watching this story, I felt so much better. Thanks WOAI for such an affirmation of how wonderful life can be. Lindsay is a beautiful, cheerleader! I couldn't agree with her brother Matthew more, we need to learn to treat all people with "the utmost respect". What a great life-lesson!
